56g Tall build/built

Well it has taken me some time to get a few pic’s posted. Five years ago I tore down my 150gal reef in order to transfer to Va. Yes I am in the military. So after 5 long years I had moved back to good ole Eastern North Carolina bought a new house and set up this tank on my birthday (easy to remember).

It’s a truvu 56 gal dim 36x15x24 with a center overflow. I built the stand, canopy and sump in November of last year. I had the 65 lbs fiji live rock curing in a kiddy pool since late October giving it 2 months before putting it into the aquarium.

Other than the stand, canopy, and sump I bought everything from the internet (good thing I did not delete all the web sites from my fav) I am using Current sundial pendants 150w HQI 10k bulbs and 03/act PC’s. MJ’s with algae free upgrades. I am running a reef keeper elite controller. Still looking for a Ca reactor have not made my mind up yet.

The bottom areas of pantries never seem to have stuff in it. good use of space. Our houses tons of dog food. And whatever falls down there.

 

i am stationed at MCAS Cherry Point NC. I was a at Northwest annex and Yorktown Va. a few years ago.
