So the other day I cleaned the master bedroom closet and made some changes. Added a vent to the chiller to vent chiller heat into attic, moved some clothes, and mixing tank put on the shelf and if you see there are two valves. One valve is to recycle the water the second goes to the tank. I connected the pump to the chiller so when the chiller comes on the mixing pump would come on just for the day till I get another power strip put in.

Well I forgot the valve was open and water was all over the floor at 6 AM It was like one of them moments when in a deep sleep where you hear the water hitting the floor and dream you are running in there to shut the valve off. But when you wake up in the morning you realize it was a dream and there is 30+ gallons on the floor. Seven towels later and the carpet shampooer vac I got all the water up. The wife was happy all this was happening so early in the morning.

I know your pain! I have a float valve in my ATO RO water bucket. One day I accidentally placed the return line from a pump onto the float valve making the ro water run all night flooding my living room. ::)

Don't be upset it happens to more people on this board than we like to admit.

I used to do that all the time before I boke down and bought a cheapie kitchen timer. When ever I'd go to make salt water or just top off, I'd have the hose fromt he ro/di into the bucket and I'd forget every time to forget it. Then I used the kitchen timer and set it for 30 minutes each time the first time, until I figured out how long it would take to fill the bucket. I carried that timer around for a few weeks LOL room to rrom until I figured it out. Shortly after that I bought an ato and hooked it and quit doing water changes(135 gal tank) Worked great till I took it all down, but I still have it all hooked up and ready to go for when I set up my tank again...I couldn't stand those OnOOOOOO :eek:moments.....11 am night in bed...Oh NOOOOO:eek: run in floor flooded... wasn't good:-/

LOL yeah I know the feeling I bought two float valves connected to the RO one in the sump and one in the mixing tank.
