You should be fine. It's a little tight but I'm keeping a baby clown in a 5 gallon and it is happy as can be. Just keep water params perfect or your fish will find every little thing stressful.

Can I successfully keep a firefish in a 6.5 gallon nano tank with a little under 5 lbs of live rock making two tunnels/caves

If no, any other fish ideas???

    Let me know please

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I have merged your duplicate threads.

Over time you will find you get more continuity in responses when you continue and post to a thread you have already created rather than creating a new thread.

Follow your gut instinct. It obviously does not feel right to put a clown in such a small tank or else you would not have created threads asking about fish appropriate for a 6 gallon tank.

This is your first tank and marine fish, start with good husbandry practices and go slow, gain some experience.

If you start enough threads someone will eventually come along and tell you the answer you want, but that does not make it the right answer.

I think one Firefish may be ok in that tank; especially a Helfrichi. I have one myself in a 28 nano. Although he is always out in the open, he is not much of a swimmer. Mostly stay right in front of the tank with a 6"x6"x6" area, once in a while darting under a rock when the Blue Spotted Jawfish scares him! They are also the smallest out of the "regular" & Purple FF IIRC.

Other than that, there are a bunch of smaller gobies that would be fine. A smaller watchman paired with a pistol shrimp would be cool to. But only 1 total fish IMO.
