I have been looking for a 6 line forthe past month and I finally found one... But it seems it may have a bacterial infection on the fins. I took a picture with my phone but you can't see it well... At the store It is housed with a black and white Pygmy angel fish That seems like it could be a little aggressive. If I would buy this 6 line what could the consequences of this possible infection be?

I had an Achilles Tang, Blonde Naso Tang and Saddleback Butterflyfish who all got a bacterial infection. None of the LFS had the medications for it and I ordered it online but it came a few days to late, Lost them all :(.

My purple tang ended up getting it as well but managed to stick through for the Maracyn and Melafix Treatments and in time for the UV Steralizer to come along and saved him out of the clutches of death thank god :).

Thats how i took care of my bacterial problem. UV steralizer, Maracyn and Melafix(occasionally.)... Followed by waterchanges and making sure my tang ate like a pig :D.

Im surprised you are having issues finding a 6 line, the nearest petstore to me has 3 for sale, and the next two furthest away almost always have one there.

ah, I prefer liveaquria.com (more so divers den cause i live by their store.) or Petsolutions.com. Both have been amazing experiences and excellent fish. My taste seems to be more expensive and the local stores dont seem to want to put that kind of money into their stock :p. Never really asked though I guess.

Otherwise I visit the local petco or drive a little further for self owned fish stores.

Chances are if its a small infection, you can clear it up. But as always your taking a gamble with a sick fish from the start. You could always alert someone about it and see if they are gonna fix it :p then buy when healed. hehe.
