So I was looking for my 6 line and couldn't find it, looked behind the tank and there it was all dried up. Sucks, I wonder what made it jump. Well on the bright side I get to pick out another reef safe wrasse, any ideas?

Yes I do, current fish list is 2 oc clown, flame angel, ywg, and a niger trigger. Inverts are random hermits, tiger pistol shrimp, cleaner shrimp, derasa clam, and a gbta.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Wrasses are jumpers, they are almost guaranteed to do so. Therefore should not be kept in an aquarium without a screen top. Sixlines probably arn't as bad as some wrasses, but you should still assume they will jump.

Sorry to hear, I feel your pain. Had jumpers before i decided to make the DIY BRS 1/4 mesh top and I love it & have no more worries. Why not make one, they're cheap & easy to build and fit super nicely. Here's the vid on how & if you need any info just PM me, I got my materials from Home Depot really cheap & just got the mesh via BRS:

    Wrasses are jumpers.

A 3/8" wrasse will fit through a single 3/8" hole (and most importantly, will eventually find said hole).

Any of the Halichoeres wrasse are reef safe. I personally like the Hoeven's, vrolik's, and christmas wrasse. They are also great active tank swimmer. Picking one I would say christmas, but 2 of those or even all 3 together make some nice eye drawing color contrasts in a tank imo.

Sorry for the loss. Finding a dried up fish is always shocking. Make sure to get a lid if you are looking at getting another wrasse!

i was gonna suggest a leopard wrasse, they seem to jump the leat from what ive seen. you just gotta make sure your tank is ready for one. (similar requirements to a mandarin) nobody is saying you cant get another 6 line, or even a 4 line. if you dont like the look of screen, you can get a custom ordered pane of glass, preferably tempered.
