Has anyone had any experience with 6-line wrasses and observed this behavior. It's been flipping water out of my tank the past couple days and I was wondering if this is any cause of concern. Thanks for your help!

What exactly do you mean? I had a sixline that when it was feeding time would "poke" at the surface to get some food and this would cause a small splash.

I'm not sure exactly how he's getting the water out but it looks like he does something similar to 'poking' at the surface like you said guitarman89. I'm going to increase the amount of feedings to see if he's just hungry or something.

I had a puffer in my old 90G system that would spit water out at me to get my attention. I would lay on a pillow on the floor in front of the tank and read my newspaper when I got home from work and he would spit water all over me and the paper. Once I paid attention to him he would quit spitting, wag his tail and wiggle all over just like a dog! Darndest thing I ever saw.
When my grandson Ian was first learning to walk he would grab the trim between the stand and tank and walk back and forth, Mr. Piggy the puffer would follow hime everywhere he went. If Ian went into the other room, Piggy would wait at that end of the tank until he came back and would be happy to see him just like above. I swear it was really a dog and not a fish.

If you haven't learned already, you'll learn now, fish are always hungry. You can feed them, then come back 5 min. later and they will want more food. He could just be having fun, trying to get at something he sees on the surface or whatever.
