I bought a small 6 line wrasse yesterday he seemed happy he was swimming all around in an out of my lr and being happy. Come home from work. And now he is no wear to be found I checked all the floor around my tank. I moved all the rocks and still can't find him. Is there a chance he is just a good hider or did I buy a dud?

Do you have a dog or a cat? Believe it or not I had a fish jump out of the tank and before I could get across the room to get it my dog ate it.

I would have to agree with dowtish, six lines are *****! Lol not trying to be mean but they can become very aggressive and territorial, watch out for that if he comes out.
    Good luck.

I've had both semi good natured ones and just total buttheads, but a new arrival wrasse is very normal for them to hide, lots of fish do this, don't go moving rocks and stuff looking for it and will just stress the fish.Give him time to acclimate and get used to it's surroundings.

Maybe he is hiding out in the sand bed; my Yellow Wrasse does that a lot.

They sleep in the sand or when scared. Wait 2 more days if no sign then get another one
