Hi, it is refreshing to read about someone with patience! Congratulations! Tank looks good. I would say to add some live bacteria every other week to bolster the base as you don't have a lot of rock, I am not saying you don't have enough, I am just saying by adding bacteria you help the filtration. If the back filter has sponge(s) rinse them in the water change water only. Keep up the good work.

Feeding once a week, although not extreme, is bordering on extreme. Fish, inverts etc. like people, need nourishment to be healthy and flourish. Every other day is fine. The tank looks a bit small to add a phosphate reactor, although that would be the way to go to help eliminate the GHA. Are you using RO/DI water?

A couple other things crossed my mind. An overflow with sump in the future. How old are the lights? Those standard bulbs should be replaced every 6 mo. (max) but on my Biocube I only go 5 mos. to avoid loss of spectrum and algae blooms.

    Nice clam!:)

I have a phosphate reactor on my 29...works fine. Actually had a bad case of GHA around month 4-5. Came off in clumps.
