    Had this baby up and running for about 3 months now. I'm using two 250 MH hung above the tank and I am awaiting the arrival of a AI Sol Blue unit this weekend. Any one ever use LEDs along with metal halides? I am curious on the intensity settings to use. Also first fish will go in this weekend as well. Right now I just have a cleaner shrimp and a fromia star along with a CUC. Oh and also a small Xenia colony and some zoas.

    very neat tank you have there! I think there are a few people here that have run MH with LED's....hopefully they can chime in with advice.

    Looks really neat! Cant wait to see it again in a few months.

    Ps. It looks alot more like a shallow long blue than a deep blue :).

    LOL! I have a little one and he books it all over the tank. Usually stays off the glass unlike a red linkia I had.

    What are you thinking about fish stock?

    I'm not 100% sure yet. I might go with a small school of chromis this weekend as the first additions (maybe 5 or so). And cross my fingers they don't kill each other off haha.

    My friend who has a 300 gallon tank, was at one time running 2, 250w metal halides and an AI SOL at 60-70% and it looks the same as the halides. Since then he has phased out the halides and now runs 3 LED fixtures. Dont know if that helps. Just play with the intensity settings until the LED's look the same as the halides.
