That's tough in a 60 gallon because anything that will fit in it's mouth when it's full grown will end up in it's mouth. Clown fish would probably be ok with it.

ya also any type of bigger tang like yellow or purple tang would be ok and trigger fish but becareful i would advise caution with triggerfish because there know coral nippers (not all) but in most cases they will. maybe if you dont get many inverts you could get a snowy moray eel, or a foxface rabbit fish are cool looking and they are benificial to the tank. if you want to find out stuff about fish go to liveaquaria.com its a great site and thats where i look for cool fish. good luck

Tangs and triggers would go well with it but 60 gallons is going to be too small for a tang and like drew said triggers are risky with coral. Triggers are also more aggressive and may nip at the long streaming fins of a lion fish. Check into wrasses. They are no fish to be messed with and there are many that will fit well in your tank.

Well remember your going to have soft coral...are u planning on putting any inverts in your tank if so...a lionfish is a very bad choice since they will eat pretty much anytype of invert besides snails and hermits. On the other hand if u put triggers in your tank..then pretty much snails and hermits are its diet. I would think about it..dont make the mistake i mad...i wish i can add inverts in my tank but they wont last 1 second. And to answer your main question anything smaller then the lionfish is dinner.

oh yea i know that anything small will be eaten
but the lionfish i have on reserve is about 1 inch so i think ill be fine with inverts for some time
