It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Sounds very cool, if they are going into an established system, just acclimate. If this tank is still cycling, that is a whole different story.

Anyway pictures are always cool :)

Never heard that Starfish couldn't be exposed to air, someone might want to tell the people at Sea world so they can take their kids starfish exhibit down! LOL sorry I couldn't help myself.

I think your confusing Starfish with sponges, star fish are not effected by exposure to air but Sponges are, it can and usually kills them. Just drip acclimate the starfish.

As far as the rock goes, unless you expose that to air for quite some time, it should be a simple thing to move it from one tank to another. Just keep it submerged as much as possible and you should not experience any cycle or any problems.

star fish are not supposed to be exposed to air. there is a way to do it by tapping their mouth to close it than covering it snugly with your finger while still in the water than lift it out and quickly place it into your tank lift your finger off its mouth after its in the water. but if your not sure how to do this dont take the chance after a acclimation add it with the smallest amount of water you can.

congrats on your new adds :)

So should I bring the tub I keep my made up salt water in and just have water in there to transport the rock for the 20-25 min drive?
