I was wondering if 95 lbs of cured live rock in my 65 gallon tank is too much to cycle with? I've also got 80 lbs live sand for a 3-4 inch sand bed. Is this going to cause a problem for me? Will I get additional ammonia spikes after the initial wave? I've read a few posts where some people have recommended putting some rock in an seperate container until the parameters flatline then slowly start adding the rest of the rock back in.

Any advice is appreciated and I'm sure people will be on both sides of the argument which is uber helpful!

I have never heard of too much live rock. If it was uncured you would have issues with spikes. You should be okay.....

That's what I thought I just wanted to be sure. It all seems to be moving along nicely, my ammonia spike happened yesterday so I'm excited to see how the next 7 days go :)
