I missed those FTS as well. Looks awesome! Do you even remembered what your corner tank looked like?

Well finally read the while thread!! Looks like you had some rough times at the start but it all came together wonderfully!! Patience is the hardest part of this hobby for me but I am learning it is sometimes best o walk away and take it slow lol.

I never did go with a sump but would like to when I upgrade in the future. Did you ever get yours quieter or still having noise issues?? I too have been intimidated of the whole sump idea glad to see you had the guts to make the jump I did not. Having all HOB equipment can be a PITA when it comes to cleaning the back glass. Also as for the heater, if you don't have your pumps o a battery backup of some sort it might be wise to leave a small heater hidden I the DT behind some rock in case you lose power in the middle of the winter.

The s ape is impressive. It is such a relief when you find everyone in the new tank acting right and know they all survived the transfer just fine!! Any new additions since your upgrade?

Also I see you have a copperband. How long you had him? I tried one this past summer and it ate the first 2 days before it stopped and starved. I really would like one some day but am not sure how to make sure I get a good specimen that stands a chance and how to take care of it to help it so any insight from your success would be appreciated.

I still have the noise pgh :( however, the guy that put the tank together is building a hood for me and said he will raise up one of the pipes in the overflow (the one with the durso on it - see, I'm just rattling off sump lingo left and right lol) and that should help with waterfall noise. so, noise reduction is on hold - again, patience being a virtue.

In terms of the copperband, I am sad to report that I lost him. He got stuck inside some rocks and before I found him, he perished :( - I think he was a bit big for the tank. I got him from the LFS after he'd been there for about a month and he ate everything - seaweed flakes, Mysis, rod's food, flakes. I really liked him too. I think if I do another, I may try to go smaller although I know it will grow. I will make sure it's eating at the LFS or even better, that it's been there a while.

I wouldn't have been able to do the sump without our friend to build it and then set it up. I would have had a very hard time figuring it all out on my own but I am super plumbing impaired.
