sort of update - since this is my first and only build thread but it's not really a build :) well, I got notice that my tank should be here this week! Our carpenter friend has the specs and is working on the stand, sump, and skimmer so at least as it stands right now, I'm kind of on time with the switch - my goal was to have it up and running by the end of August.

Awesome! Congrats! Can't wait to see this come together!

If you plan on getting a WP-25, you maybe want to just go to a WP-40. They are only $5 more on fish-street and then you could get rid of some of your other powerheads. Just a thought.
I am running one WP-40 in a 60 gal tank and it's perfect.

    Well, that's my .02 cents

thx for the .02 zesty. I definitely want to get something wp :). I am so sick of blowing detritus out of the koralias!

Tank arrived today! Totally pumped. Was busy most of today so just moved it into the house. Hopefully will open it up tomorrow and maybe do a leak test. I'll try to get pics also. That way, it does become a real build thread :)

I have a wp25 in my 65 and I would like a bit more water movement. I would consider the wp40.

ok, update. I haven't had an opportunity to do a lot yet. The tank is still sitting in the cardboard box in my living room. I don't think that's really worth a pic :)....anyway, spoke to our friend that is building the stand and such and estimated time of arrival is labor day weekend! So, I will need to start doing some things before our trip to Chicago. Question, how long do you all recommend that a tank be leak tested for? My plan is to fill it up with regular water on our deck but how long should I have the water be in there?

Awesome! Congrats on the new tank :) I usually do a 24 hour leak test.

Congrats OFK, looking forward to seeing your build.

I am like Marshall when it comes to the leak test. I just recently resealed my 75gal and stress tested in 24-48hrs. I gave it an extra day to encourage mosquitoes to hang out in my back yard.
