Thanks Corailline! Slowly but surely we're getting there :)

Thanks Marshall! I'm sure hoping that brace is removable to get the sump in there lol

If not, the back is open and should certainly allow you to get it in, no?

Good luck OFK! I'm just a few steps ahead of you. The overflow is still stressing me out. The trickling noises wake me up at night and make me think I have a leak! I'm still not 100% sure I have it set up correctly as far as the fine tuning goes.

I'm pretty intimidated about the sump and all but have been a lot of reading on them and hopefully our friend will have it so that things move as they should :) I'm thinking I probably need to order my return pump now.

Thanks so much 2 in 10! He is a very talented carpenter.

Don't be! Once you get the initial kinks out, you should be golden. The biggest problem I had was matching the return pump to the drain. I added a ball valve to the return pump to throttle back the pump to match the drain. Once I did that, the biggest problem I have is getting the skimmer fine tuned. I feel like I'm adjusting it every few days.

However, I'll never go back to not having a sump. So much easier to do maintenance without getting into the DT all the time. Plus the DT has a lot less equipment hanging off the back and man that's a great difference.

Did your tank come in yet?

well, Amazon called me today and said UPS called them saying they couldn't deliver today because the tank was shattered! Soooo........I called and they are supposed to be sending another one on Friday (shipping dept. is supposed to be taking extra care). So, the waiting continues......

I have to think that the company that makes the tank has to be getting a little irritated on two returned busted tanks.
