Nice looking setup! Have you thought about putting a backgound on? It would hide the pipes and give your tank a more deep sea look. Black or blue is the way to go. As far as the Yellow tang goes, tangs should be your last fish to go into the tank. If you put them in early they will bully and possibly kill other fish that eat veggies. You can see my signature with the array of fish I have in my 210g. I started with a 65g last year and then went to a 120g and then finally the 210g and I still have all the fish I started with and most of the corals. A trio of orange anthias are nice for starters along with a trio of green chromis. A royal gramma or blackcap baslett are good starter fish. They are small and the anthias and chromis swim in the water column for movement in the tank. I found a baby hippo tang so small I threw him in and a crab ate him. After I upgraded to a 120g it was then that I bought the tangs. I bought an African yellow bellied hippo tang that was just a touch bigger than the purple tang and Kole tang. I was very concerned because I had a 150g fish only tank and the purple tang I had was mean as hell. After the Kole tang died and I bought the 210g I bought a Sohal Tang that was bigger than the purple and hippo. That worked for me. Mixing fish can be tricky so read up on a fish before you put him in the tank.:)

I'm not a big fan of painting the back of the glass as I'm concerned about the fumes or toxins that might do harm to the fish. I would take a piece of something like plywood or cardboard or anything and lay it on top of the tank so as to seal off the fumes if any from reaching the fish. I have always preferred the plastic rolled up background and use Seaview to adhere it to the glass. This gives you the advantage of maybe changing it out in the future as it can come off easily and also in case you ever decide to upgrade to a bigger tank it gives a perpetual buyer flexibility in case they like a different color. Below is an idea on how it looks. The first two pics are of my old 120g tank and you can see the background comes with two colors back to back blue and black and you can use either side. I attached it using 2 tubes of a product called Seaview with a razor and a flat surface object ( ruler, credit card, piece of flat and smooth wood etc ) and squeegee it out to the edges leaving an inch extra on the length and width and cut of the excess with a razor when it's fully squeegeed out. The finished product looks very professional. The next three pics are of my new 210g tank. This is just my opinion..;)

The tank is looking great!! I'm a little concerned for the mandarin with the addition of the 6-line. From everything I've read they can easily out-compete a mandarin for pods . . . just something to keep in mind.
