i think you will be fine

the only thing to remeber about the 6 bulb set up is you have to buy new bulbs one a year at about 20 bucks a bulbs just something to keep in mind

It depends on what you are wanting to keep. if you are wanting a lot of sps then this light would be fine. it you are going to be doing mostly softies and fish I would probably stay with what you have. no need to spend money on the extra light if you are not going to use it. other than that the 6 bulb light would be fine.

just get the best bulbs and the 4X54 should be plenty(assuming proper placement) for anything your heart desires.

I had a Tek 6x54w over my 55 and it worked well, but my lps didn't have great color as they were lighter due to the high light. It should be fine, just make sure to have some shaded places and make sure to acclimate properly.

    +1 on above

    I had a 6 x 54 watt over my 4ft softy tank, which was an upgrade from 4 x 40 watt (T8s)

Softies where OK in there once acclimatised - the T8s where directly on tank , but when I 1st got T5s, I used the canopy legs for a couple of months to help acclimatise
