When my water quality went down the past few months I thought they all died off. But a few must have survived because they are multiplying like crazy now. Would you say they are just going to become part of my CUC or are they going to kill my corals. If you feel like they are going to kill my corals then I heard this Wrasse will eat them.

so my question is....part of the CUC or get rid of them

they went from 1 or 2 to about 15 in just a week.

    Keep 'em, IMO.

There are certain variations of asterina that will eat corals, but most just eat film algae or coralline. Unless you see them munching on zoas or something, I'd just let them be. Their population will self-regulate, eventually. Plus, I like to see the different shapes and count the legs. My favorites are the ones with a single huge leg and just a circle for a body.

If they were the type to kill corals, they'd be on your corals.

I believe this topic was just covered recently and I think you may have been the one to bring it up. They are fine. Yes they multiply and are free cleaners for your tank. If you don't want them, bag them up and send them to me. I'll take every single one of them.
