This is my first saltwater reef! I have done fresh water planted tanks for years, however i must say the salt world is a lot more involved!

I have a clown, yellow-tail blue damsel, peppermint shrimp, 4 narcissus snails, a few asteras, a few margarita snails, green star polyps, green bay packer zoas ( I think), and a green frogspawn, all of which are new.

About 4 weeks ago I installed a protein skimmer and a phosphate reactor. Since then my water is much more clear and the algae is slowly disappearing!

Right now all i have are some crappy pics of the entire fish tanks, and some equipment. I will have some high quality photos of livestock and tank shots tomorrow when all the lights come back on.

copepod growth is actually pretty good with it, all i have in there is cheato, no rubble or sand. i also use a 10w submersible lamp and get decent growth

Here is the algae i am still dealing with! i added a skimmer and a media reactor about 3 weeks ago and have seen much clearer water and much less algae. However what you see here WILL NOT go away! i have even brushed it off with a tooth brush and it grows back. Any ideas? And what type of algae is it specifically?
