lions, eels, and puffers are usually kept together in predatory tanks. some triggers can fit too, but most are much too aggressive and will nip at fins.

anglers could work too but damsel are a HUGE no no. it doesnt matter how fast they are, all they need is to stop at the right place at the wrong time and their new name is lunch.

The angler is a no go. He'll slurp his mates up.

Leaf fish can be very hard to train to frozen. They are on my top five "Stubborn Pains" list. He'll have to be trained in a separate tank or be the first one to enter the tank. But you won't be able to add anyone until he's converted well.

I don't use any special filtration. A lot of my tanks are JBJ AIOs that has nothing in the back except maybe for a bag of carbon. I have filter socks on some of the larger tanks, but that's it.

These fish are cleaner eaters than most fish because we don't feed the water column. You give them a chunk and they eat the whole thing. With water column fed fish, there's food floating everywhere and getting trapped everywhere. The problem is their bioload, their waste processes, especially ammonia. You need enough rock to be established with enough bacteria to consume that waste put out by these guys. I keep my display medium stocked and stuff rock in the sump whenever possible.

And I love Love LOVE macro. Macro loves ammonia as well as other things. But you can't count on it as a part of your permanent filtration. Your tank has to be able to handle the load without it's presence. Someones this stuff has to be removed in it's entirety because it's about to "Go South", so your tank has to be able to deal with the waste in the interim before it grows back to a productive amount.

Your final scorp list will dictate what your possible tankmates will be. Both the leaf and the red fin can be kept with many smaller fish as their mouths are very small. Opposite of the way it usually is for these guys.

Here's some of our fish and who goes with what. We also have a bristletail filefish in the 60g. The anthias are awesome in there but it requires you to feed the water column more heavily than I would like.

    My Scorp Tankmates.

This is also a little scorp article that may help.

I get them from every source. Online, LFS, Wholesalers, in back of target parking lots.... everywhere.

Me personally if I were to do a lion, scorp etc I would go with a LFS as I have heard they arent they arent the best shipper. That is what I heard and have no personal expereince. Online I would go with my old favorites of liveaquaria, but I also seen thatpetplace carries a pretty good sized selection, so they would be worth checking out.

Half of my fish come from Diver's Den. I just put three in QT right now and another in QT last week.... Geeze I guess 10 this year O.O Yikes!

One time I did meet a stranger in a parking lot for a ubber cool fish that otherwise would have went to San Diego. They pulled off the freeway from up north for me. LOL. I felt like the cops were going to pull us over!

If your looking for multiple fish in a 70 then the smaller the better. Any of the dwarfs like a fuzzy. I like the fumanchu's myself.
