I like to keep my Alk between 12-15, but thats me. Im not suggesting that you do the same. You must do whats comfortable for you. Do you have a Alk supplement?

No. I don't have any supplements yet. Only using IO-RC right now.

IO and RC are salt mixes, not supplements. I like to use KentMarine Probuffer DKH

Yes, I know its only salt + trace elements.

I'll have to get some KentMarine Probuffer DKH. THanks for the advise. ;D

Just checked out your thread for the first time. Looking great! I use IO salt and for alk. I dose using Seachem Reef builder, I have a 75 and based on the evaporation rate and the amount of RO I add to replace water, I find that I have to dose a couple times a week during the summer months. I also change out 13-15 gallons every nine days to keep other levels up. Only very occasionally I add calcium as mine stays consistent for a long while. Just another idea for ya! Happy reefing!!

Also, I keep my alk. at 10 dkh but that's just my preference.

My Seachem Reef builder has a recommendation in the directions, so whatever you choose to use should have a recommendation also. For me half tsp. raises alk. by about 0.25 meq per 40 galls., not to be dosed more than 2 tsps. per 40gs per day, for example.

Ah, ok. Thanks for the info. I'll check the directions when I get it in.
