Hey everyone. Before i say anything i will let you all know i am new to this and this is my first saltwater setup. I was hoping you guys could help me out. I'm trying to get my stock of fish setup for my tank. A little about my tank: have about 100 lbs of live rock and sand. have a 30 gal refugium.

Right now I have 3 chromis, 2 damsels, 1 diamond goby, 4 trochus snails, 6 hermit crabs.

I was looking at maybe removing the damsels and my wish list right now is:

    - 6 line wrasse (1 or 2?)
    -tomini tang
-blonde naso tang ( I know it will get to big but I was going to look for a smaller size one and when it gets to big I do have somewhere to take it)
    -one spot foxface
    -coral beauty angelfish
-green/red/spotted mandarin (if any which would be better)
    -pearlscale butterfly fish

Please let me know what you think. Anything I need to take away. Anything differently I can add. I don't want to overcrowd but I definetly don't want to not have my full potential on my tank. Any inputs would help. Thanks

hello dericke171, I started my first FOWLR tank just a year ago and so far I have a spiny box puffer, niger trigger, a pair of perc clowns, four chromis, and a baby snowflake eel. Your wish list is really nice and wont overcrowd your tank; I just don't really know how much of a fan I am of 6 line wrasse but they do have great colors, other than that looks really good! has the tank been setup yet?

The sixline wrasse and mandarin may not get along, but the sixline may not get along with any of your fish. I would definitely add it last if you get one. The Damsels may be a problem for you when adding new fish depending on what type they are.

Hey thanks for writing guys so I have made some changes to my tank. I decided to do a reef setup. Right now I currently have 3 chromis 1 diamond goby 15 hermit crabs, 10 nassarius snails chocolate chip starfish, neon dottyback, starry blenny, ocellarus clownfish. What other stick would you guys think I should add from original stock list or just something different in general

I hear the 6 line wrasse are nothing but trouble to the fishes in the tank.. Stay away!

If you were to get damsel then look at the yellowtail damsel because it's a little less aggressive then the other type of damsels.

I have a pair of black ocellarus clownfish and LOVE them. They're ALWAYS swimming together no matter where they are but the male is aggressive towards me every time I have my hand in the tank. It will nip at me I'm guessing to protect the female but it's harmless and I just feel like it head butts me instead of a bite.

Sweet. Ya I'm thinking of a tomini tang. Would a foxface or coral beauty be ok in a feef? I've read that they could nip and eat at it

If your doing a reef the cc starfish has to go. That neon dotty back will get very aggressive as well. I had a coral beauty in my reef tank and never had an issue but it's always a gamble.

So I should remove the chocolate chip starfish and dottyback?
