    do they normally grow as fast as the other birdsnests?

    Yes I would say as far as SPS they are fast growers if all parameters and lighting are in line. A relatively easy SPS.

    It will probably out grow that plug next to it.

    Was checking out the tank this evening and it seems that one of my millies has a couple of dead tips. Not really sure why. Its a dead area, not new growth. Should I cut the dead ends off or just leave them alone?

    Can you post an image.

    Burnt or dead tips are usually ALK swings.

    It probably was an alk swing. Ill post up a pic tonight or tomorrow.
