I like the new aquascape, the cave in the middle got me wondering what was in there.

tested today and here are the results no nitrites, 10 nitrates, and ammonia is between 0 and .25 is this right? am i done? also never saw a rise in nitrites.

for got to mention that i do have brown algea and I also added about 6 lbs or live rock out of the 20 gallon to help seed everything on the 24th

Probably done cycling. Maybe take whatever is left of the shrimp out and test for ammonia again tomorrow. Did you use any bacterial suppliment? That, along with adding LR to seed a cycle, can significantly speed it up.

    Looking good so far!

I did I had this stuff called nutrafin cycle, I just had it laying around and dumped it all in there. I also used brine shrimp cubes like 12 total for the jumpstart and didnt skim for the first week. the ammonia jumped then my next reading the nitrates jumped to 50 ppm then everything just droped and seems to be fine.

ok so a bit of an update and decision.

background the 20 gallon registered with 1.0 ammonia  have no idea how ot happened but regardless everything is open and looking in fairly good shape but I know this cant be good for anything.

the 75 has registered no ammonia, no nitrites, no nitrates and seems to be ready to go the hermites have done good over the last 5 days.

so the question move everything to the 75 or try and fix the 20?

Sounds like a good idea. I think the 75 should handle things OK. Just get some Prime in case your 75 decides to have a mini cycle from the additions. Have plenty of water available to make changes if necessary.
