    Hello,

My 75 gallon reef tank is about to finish cycling it has 65 pounds of live rock, and a 2 inch sand bed. For filtration I have a hob reef octopus skimmer. T5 quad for lighting. So anyways my need list is a pair of ocellaris, and a yellow tang. I also like the idea of a school of chromis. I dont have a refugium by the way. Anyways could anyone maybe help me out by making a list of the fish you think I should get and how many? Also maybe a recommended cleanup crew. Also SOme corals that I can start off with in the reef that don't require more equipment than I already have. BTW I'm not rich. LOL

    Thanks so much!!!

My thoughts are that you do not have a lot as far as filtration goes, so you should keep the tank lightly stocked for the time being. The clowns and chomis are definitely suitable for the tank. The Yellow Tang is borderline for a 75. A lot of people house them in 75's, but I do think they are better suited for a 6' long tank. A smaller bristletooth tang would be more appropriate (and a better tankmate overall!).

There are plenty of other great options for you, however right now I do think you are limited by your filtration. Getting a sump and refugium online would go a long way IMO.

So what do you reccomend for additional filtration? HOB refugium and a carbon reactor?

I would try to set up a sump and get a bigger protein skimmer, if possible.

Actually a sump would be the way to go. If this is not an option, then yes, a HOB 'fuge and a carbon reactor would also help.

I agree, although we don't know what skimmer he has right now to know if it is sized properly.

In that case, that is a little on the small side, but should still work.
