    Just set up my new tank. Cycling begins today. any ides for a few good fish start out with with. That are hardy enough by a week???????

    Wait another 2 weeks and let the tank finish cycling before you add a fish.

    dont add fish right off the bat. it puts too much stress on them. its better just to throw a dead shrimp in there to cycle it.

    gexx has the right idea. chances are , and very good at that , it will be most likely 4-6 weeks before youre cycled. be looking at cuc first off, then a hardy fish or 2. damsels or clowns. my preference would be clowns. much nicer fish in tempermant. patience is what its all about clay. good luck with it all.
