Ok, due to lack of powerpoints in my room, i cannot use a heater for this tank.

It's 75 litres, with inbuilt filter and light, and i was wondering what options i have in regards to using the tank.

Can i set it up as a fry tank for my guppy fry?

Is it still ok for some tropical fish if no heater is present?

If someone could give me some insight as to those options, or maybe some cool coldwater options that would be great.

    Thanks in advance.

may sound daft, cant you get a 3 or 4 way extension socket that will allow you to plug the heater in?

its only going to be an additional 200 watts ( depends where you live I suppose and ambient temp)

Pick up a GFI power strip. You'll have additional outlets as well as safety. If you are thinking overload is the issue what else do you have running off this outlet.

If you'd like, I'll build you one of these at cost. Just pay the shipping and it's yours. Consider it a favor from one reefer to another. :)

my bungalow has only a double gpo, and i already have 3 x 4 gpo extensions running off it so the amount of power comming from that double gpo is a lot. I have my home phone, lamp, electric blanket x 2, alarm clock, current tank filter, current tank light, current tank air pump and current tank heater.

Whenever i used to put a heater or something that sucks a lot of power out of the gpo's my power would cut out, as the bungalow and garage are on a seperate circuit and can short circuit the house at times.

I used to have 2 x double gpo outlets in my room, but a pet rabbit chewed through the furthest wires so i have only one.

Would repairing the second double gpo help ease the load on the initial one.....does it make a difference?

zebra danios are temperate fish, i think.

i would expect the house to be able to hold atleast that load, so i guess the second plug could be on a different circuit, and if its not i think i would complain to my land lord lol.
