75 with LR?

    Hey, is it okay to have only about 40 lbs of liverock in a 75 gallon tank that has softies?

    you can have anywhere from zero to 120 lbs (assuming it will fit) in a 75 gallon

    How will having only 40-50lbs affect the bioload and first cycle of the tank?

    You can have a somewhat bigger bioload (aka: more fish) with more LR. Somewhat bigger.

    It also helps keep params stable by having more LR.
