This is what the build should turn out to look like. If it does when I am done, then i did it right. :) the overall build - I would like to keep it somewhat compact, not expanding out of this 6' x 6' cabinet.

I will post pictures along the way to show progress. :)(How do I post pictures to pop up in a slide-show type format, as some people do on here? I want this way only to show tank progress once set up & running. I will use photobucket for larger images too.)

Thanks. I will try and see if Dad & I can start the stand this weekend.

I will put in an application tomorrow for a job working for a local photographer, but they aren't hiring for now. I'll try some other places too. :)

Got a used 55g from a friend a while back. I payed $65 for the tank, some crappy PC lighting that came with it & a metal stand. I plan to sell the stand for $60(It's $80 new from FS Aquatics). Not sure if I should buy a new tank or not.

I have gotten impatient and would like to start this asap.:-/Hopefully this week, if not then, then we will this coming weekend. I made a cut list. All we have to do is go to the lumber yard & get it (& get it cut there.)

I will post plenty of pics so one can see how I built it if they want to use the design.:) It is overbuilt, but overbuilt is never bad except when it comes to moving time.:p ugh.

lol. It will be a lot of work I would like a 75..but with that 25 more gallons comes more cost. A 75 would be awesome Though. I should consider it..::) what are the dimensions of a 75?

Here's my current list of equipment I plan on having.. would these work still for a 75?

    -Eheim return pump 1260
    -2 PhosBan Reactors(1 phos, 1 GFO)
    -3 Koralia evo 750's
    -2x 200w titanium heaters
    -ASM G3 skimmer

    Here's some extra stuff..
    -1/4 hp chiller
    -150w MH pendant
    -RODI unit

I may consider::)...depending on dimensions & extra costs..

Standard 75g - 48 1/2 x 18 1/2 x 21 3/8 - I like the idea of 20 more gallons. Just need to stretch my frame dimensions to 18" instead of 12". This size tank would work great. As long as my current equip. list will work.:) I'll have more room for aquascaping too.

Looks like you've got a good plan, can't wait to see how it comes along!

I would agree, if you can fit and work with the 75 gallon, you'll probably be happier in the long term. ;D
