One of the best mistakes I've made to date in this hobby was hiding purchases from my wife and getting caught. It may have cost me 2/3rds of my builds but she did let me keep the 90g and since then has had a say in every purchase made for that tank....and in doing so got a big ol' dose of the saltwater bug! She saw and fell in love with a large Volatin at a LFS in the cities and hasn't stopped talking about missing the reef in the dining room. We've been talking about getting a larger tank to fill the area where the 46 used to sit, tonight Triton smiled on me and a person in my local club caved on a 75RR, stand, hood, Coralife dual 150W HQI w/ t5 supp's, sump and rock all for the low price of $150.00. Tanks a little scratched but other than that I see no issues with any of it. I can dry polish most of the scratches out. Here's a pic I stole from his for sale thread on the clubs forum.

I'll post my own images when I have it here begin working on it.

It's been a good week. :) Eshopps sent me a brand new s-120 cone skimmer to test and review and now this score. Good to be back in the game full on.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Congratulations.

Sometimes when they actually know the cost, it's no longer a mystery and something they can relate to.

I am happy for you that it worked out over all and it's becoming a team effort, makes it more enjoyable.

Congratulations to both you and Mrs Reefmon

looks like a nice set up, will you get the contents also?
not to many corals, but I see a couple of nicely developing Monti,s in the photo

PS - if my wife asks, you bought that MH set up for me as a early birthday gift

I think the conservative with the truth brigade in this hobby, is quite a large proportion of us married folks.

I'm overjoyed for sure. Not only because I can start a new reef but my best friend will be taking genuine interest in the project this time. :)

None of the corals and not all of the rock. I still have quite a bit rock left laying around in boxes and totes. And all of the sand from the 46 and it's fuge.

Right on. Tell her to email me and I'll verify. lol

Conservative in my case was a grand understatement..Everything always cost $20.00

HaHa them women dont take to kindly to hiding purchases from them unless it is for them. Been down that road, with money from being on call. Got 50 cash for just bringing the pager home not counting the OT. Now all orders go thru her lol, what i spend on tank she gets in clothes, purses, and shoes. Nice buy gotta have more pics.
