    how many cree leds would i need for a 48lx18hx18w im running 2 250mh:eek: and 4 54 act 14 moons.:(i want to go all led;D so i ordered 96 cree 48 cw n 48 rb i have 2 heatsinks 5 w 46 lng i welded 2 el bars on the end and made it a total of 11 n half wde 46 long before i start can some reefpeeps give advice::):help:before i:uzi:shoot my self down thats alot $ to make a mistake.is two 48 kits from rapid a bad idea please help me.

    I'm confused!;)

    But 96 Cree leds on a 4' tank is way overkill, just get a controller and keep them dimmed to about 30% or so.

    i didnt put it together yet waiting on replies so would 72 be overkill im trrying to cover the whole tank and i have 80 deg optics so how many crees will do. mix sps lps softy ext.

    Mike recommended the ultra premium 48-56 LED's with 60 degree optics for me on a 90 tank with all SPS, fyi. My fixture will be about 10 inches above the water.
