Well - Finally got up the seahorse tank. This has been in the planning stages for a while, I just could not settle on the tank. Found a nice 8 gallon that was taller and had t5 built in.

    Currently has:
    10lbs mixed live rock
    15lbs sand
HOB AC 20 running chemipure elite
    heater

    Livestock:
    6 Dwarf Seahorses (2 pregnant) :)
Various Snails (Nas, Cerith, Dwarf Cerith, Nerite)

    Macro:
    Flame Algae
    Tall Codium
    Red Mangroves
    Manatee Grass
    Oar Grass
    Graciliara

Plans are - well, to keep the seahorses alive and happy. Feeding baby brine, very low flow (about 7x turnover) lot's of hitching spots.

Overall these guys are TINY - less than 1.5 inches at max. They have been fairly active so far and look like they are eating.

    Anyway, here are some pics:

That's the plan - from the research, it looks like raising the fry (although still a challenge) should be pretty do-able. They will eat baby brine as soon as the male releases them. The first pic shows the one that looks to be ready to release...

Very nice set up! Congratulations on your little friends!
    What are you feeding them?
I recently just got 3 pairs myself and 2 of my males were shipped pregnant as well. Gestation is about 10 days to two weeks. I cant wait to see the little guys hanging out by dad!

Reefmonkey - did not know you had a dwarf tank... Do you have a thread?

Very cool looking tank. I hope to get a seahorse tank once I upgrade to a larger reef tank.
