    Hey everyone,
Well I am kinda new to the forum and I just thought I would share some updates with you and maybe get some suggestions. So as of right now I have an 80g reef that has been up for almost a year now. I have about 100lbs of live rock and about 70-80lbs of live sand, I run 2 emperor 400 filters, a CPR Bak Pak Dual Pak protein skimmer, 4 65w power compact and 2 45w halogens. JBJ 9w uv sterilizer. 2 #4 korilia 1 #3 Powerheads. Everything is doing great.
As of 10 minutes ago I was given a 20 tank that I was thinking of using as a sump so I can put all the excess equipment under the stand. I don’t know If I want to discontinue the emperor 400s but It would be nice to move all the excess equipment down below and maybe ad some chetau algae and some mangroves.
In this case what size overflow would be suffice for this setup? What size return pump would I need? all the help and info would be greatly appreciated. Hope you like what I’ve done so far I just want to make it more enjoyable to look at and more user friendly.

very nice tank and thats really up to you i would go with maybe a mag drive 7 or 9.5 with about a 800gph to 1000 gph overflow

you also could use rio pumps or eheim but just make sure your pump flow is less than your overflow. You'll want to section off the 20g with baffles either glass of what i used acrylic and have them cut to size which i got all done a lowes. Then use some reef safe silicone such as ge silicone 1 and also there are numerous links on here for sump/ref setups.
