    New tanks take a bit of work and algae outbreaks are normal, although this sounds bad, but prob due to the initial water. I'd get a bigger CUC from reef cleaners.com, do 4 days of lights out and a few big water changes, like 25% though with your new water.

    HANG IN!! I lost 150 gal of water when i broke the bottom of my tank. The leak was terrible and at 5 am too!!! We all seem to have start up issues when new, at least i did. Just read read read and learn before you spend money on something that may or may not work. Take it slow, and when things get going right, you will be a very happy person!!! welcome to the club!

    well after the ro/di unit and the baking soda and chemialing it. i now have a 8.4 now. bout time.:)
