kcbrad, do you have a local reef club? I'd ask someone locally who seems like they know alot about the hobby or sumps or something. Offer to compensate them and you'll get a much, much better sump than a prebuilt one. With a home made one you can customize all the different elements. Someone around you will help you out, I'm sure. If not, you can come on down to the Sunshine State ;D

KC I bought mine. I didnt have the time nor did I really feel like building it myself at the time. I kinda wish I would have now. Its just so much fun on the DIY projects IMO. My suggestion is to either build or buy the biggest sump /fuge that will fit in your stand. It will give you more room for pumps, skimmers, and water.JMO

Haha though a trip to the sunshine state sounds wonderful about now (40 degrees and pouring rain), that will only delay my tank even more!

I'll look into a local club, but right now I'm thinking buying one sounds faaaantastic.

Yeah, I do think it would be fun to build....but I'm sort of impatient, and would rather get this project going and get to the fun stuff (substrate, rocks, etc.). I would buy a pretty big one so that everything fits. I will measure carefully, but if it seems like it won't work I can always return it.

I haven't seen your top...is it in your tank thread? I'll check it out!

May want to look into an MP40 for the tank. 3200gph from one of those - adjustable. Can pick them up for under $400 if you look around. One on a 90 would do the trick, provide all the flow needed, and they look good in the tank.
