    'haha I know! I was worried earlier so I checked, but they are breathing fine and everything. They might be a little freaked out in such a huge tank all by themselves too!

    That's smart, since then the irst and second stage bacteria will be established at that point of the cycle. It can keep up with the ammonia from the fish, turning it into nitrate and then quickly converting it into nitrate.
    I am planning on doing the same.... so I guess we are on the same page :)

    Dora and Pablo II ate some more lastnight. Tested Ammonia - still 0.

    I wouldn't think so. I was testing ammonia everyday. It went up to .25ppm and stayed there about 4-5 days. I tested the night before I added the fish (if it was high I wasn't putting them in) and it was 0! Still 0. So I don't know!

    maybe it was quick, did your nitrites go up at all?

    They were still at 0 last time I tested, but I didn't test them yesterday. I'm going to test everything today and I'll post the results.

    There haven't been any diatoms or anything though, which is weird....my 37 cycled pretty quick - but even that took like 2 weeks.

    This thread is too long to read through, but is that Dora the Explorer?! :lol:

    I doubt it's even began yet, just wait a week or so after these fish have been doing there "business" and see what her params are :)
