Be safe. This guy sounds like a freakbag. Your safety is worth more than a 30 gallon tank. I would personally find a new seller.

 

You can do better than that price too I'm sure. I just sold my old 30 for $10.

mag 9.5 isnt big enough for a 90 imo, look at either the 1200 or 1800, I use a 9.5 in my 58 and it's barely enough

 

Barely enough for what? When I had a 9.5 on my 90 it was more than enough. After opening up my return lines to 1", the pump out did the overflow box. I backed up my tank.

 

perfect for a 90.... if not than my tank should be the pits.

of course your not gonna use only the return pump for flow.

ps.. save yourself some trouble and call a few LFS about tanks.. they sell them all the time at discount.. especially the one you bought from.. just ask if they will throw you a deal, bc 90% of the time they will to keep your support..
