Your thread grows way too fast. I tried to read through all the pages since the beginning of the month to see how the possible aptasia ended. Please, please tell me you killed it!!!

MAYBE?!!! Kill it before it gets out of hand!

It always makes me sad when I see someone who has never dealt with aptasia before and doesn't understand the full gravity of the situation.

They may be cute when there's one, but they spread by releasing spores. This means once it's released them they are flowing all over your entire system and will land where ever they want to grow and raise a family. They love high flow, low flow, dirty water, clean water, no light or tons of light. If there's water there they will grow there. This means they will be in your overflows, sump, plumbing, display and even in pumps. Once they spread you WILL NOT EVER get rid of them again. Some people claim they can Aptasia X, Joe's Juice them or get something that eats them, but the simple matter is none of those will work once they have spread. You may never know that there is one hanging out in your overflow plumbing dropping new babies into your return pump. You won't get Joe's Juice or Aptasia X in to it and peppermint shrimp aren't going in there. They have no need for light so they are perfectly happy living on the bottom sides of your rocks also. The only absolute way to get them out is to tear the tank down and nuke everything.

Please take it from someone who has been fighting this battle for two years now. If I started a new tank and had the slightest bit of suspicion that I had an aptasia in my tank, I would throw out what ever it was on even if that was a basketball sized acro colony.

How big is the rock it's on? I honestly would nuke the rock out of the tank. They release spores when stressed and that could be the turning point for your tanks entire life.

There are a lot of ways you could do it without killing the rock and without taking it out, but with only one in your tank you could still nip this in the butt and never see another one again. That would be worth more than all the coral in my tank if I could go back in time to that point:-/

Oh no!! I hate making decisions.....

I never would have noticed the lil' guy except when I re-aquascaped I turned this rock around. I guess maybe that's a sign I should take care of it now....
