90 Gallon Build - Here We Go!

Sorry to hear about dora. I hope everything else is doing good.

 

Ugh. I just feel very dejected right now. My first saltwater tank was so easy. I never had any issues. I thought the 90 would be even easier! Blah.

I'm just glad this isn't my first tank! After all the money I've spent, and all the disasters I've had...oh man! I would have quit this hobby already and been really peeved off!

Ok.. here we go... I am of german descent... born in Tokyo, grew up in Germany, moved to the UK, lived there for just over a year... went to college (in Germany and the US), so I have 2 MBAs, then after the US went back to Germany, then to the US to start my business ....you can check it out at www.ez-days.com ... maybe the colors will lighten KCs mood? Well and now back in Europe... I have another company here and my mom lives in Germany, so since I can't stand the weather in Germany, I moved to Spain 'cause it's not far away.... so I fly to Germany once a month to see her (she had a terrible accident which left her paralysed)... so another reason for everybody to appreciate every moment we have our health. So my MO is ... live in the moment, and the accumulation of moments create our future...
So, KC... things will get better, for sure... just concentrate on the positive, ok?!

I read through the last pages of the thread again and I am sooo sad for you and especially Pablo, he very obviously was attached to her... so please get him another mate soon! The worst thing was him trying to push her up from the sand... just teaches us that the fishies do create bonds and communicate somehow.
Again, look at Rex (is he doing ok?) and keep a positive attitude. I lost 2 Chromis within a week ... even though my parameters are perfect after almost 8 weeks of cycling. The other two..... Pedrinho and Chiquinho are doing great and are having a ball in the big tank!! But I will wait for another 3 weeks before I add more lifestock... just to be on the safe side...
If I would add up how much I already spent on this hobby, I could probably buy a mid sized car! So, in other words, we all go through this KC.
