90 Gallon Build - Here We Go!

Hope all is well with the new fish. Look forward to seeing them

 

Here's the update: I went back to bed (because I had to get up before 9, so that makes me a cruel human being) and left the lights off. When I came back downstairs both flame wrasses were out swimming around. That was fast! Rex hid for like 2 days.

There is a bit of tension between Rex and the flames. He flashes and chases them off when they get too close. The male flame was lying on the sand bed and Rex kept hovering off him and then going down and "tasting" him. Lol he wasn't biting, just putting his mouth on him. Oddly enough, Rex dislikes the small female the most, not the huge male. Could be because she's so small and he feels so dominant over her. But the flames don't seem too tramuatized, they are out swimming around and....THEY ATE!!! They both were up eating with all my other fish! They both ate a ton, so that is very exciting!!

I took a couple pics that I'll post in a bit (I'm on the wrong computer right now). I'm still trying to get one of the female, she is fast!!!

LOL... maybe Rex was trying to see if it was food or a friend... found it was a friend and was just welcoming him to the tank At least in my own little world that is what it would be

 

I think he was trying to be scary. lol look how big my mouth is....raarrr...

Rex looks small compared to the male! Rex used to seem so big. haha

 

So... like T-Rex? LOL

 

Exactly! That's how he got his name!

 

Glad to hear they're doing well. Now for naming them! ;D
