Detritus is the word you're looking for. I hate brain cramps! Especially when you're talking in person with someone. haha

Is that true of all bristetooth tangs?

This is true. Mine is always grazing what algae there is on rocks, and even pecks at the glass to clean it. Not only is it very pretty but an efficient janitor as well. I feed algae strips once a week along with frozen meaty food, mysis, pellets, etc. Mine attacks all of it and stays nice and fat. The mouth is quite different, it's designed to scrape rocks and not necessarily bite down on something.

Believe so my dear, I know so on the chevron. My little guys mouth was horrible. made it hard for him to eat, Its healing up now though.

I can talk to Jodi at foster and smith tomorrow. They can actually hunt down fish for customers local to buy in store. If you cant find one and they can Im sure they could ship it out from their holding facility across the street to your house, Would just be like buying online and such. (Nice thing about having divers den in my backyard basically)

That's fine. Just see if they could even possibly find one. I am still a ways out from purchasing one, but I really think I may want one when the time comes.
