    Thanks!!

Tangy friend ate some mysis last night! YAY! He is still not a fan of the seaweed....though he swims all around it and looks at it, but won't bite. I'm going to try a few different variations and see if he likes any of them.

    I love him!!

    Yeah! Fatten him up!!!

They do seem to have their own favorite kind of seaweed tho, but I always get nori for sushi party from Walmart.

Nice Kacy, hope your new friend continues to settle in nicely. I personally love the bristletooth tangs :). Love that flame wrasse too! It's looking really, really good.

He's already pretty fat - so I'm happy about that! I'm a bit worried about HLLE disease though, so I really want to get him eating more seaweed. And I'm going to get some Selcon too.

I have red, brown and green seaweed. So far I've only tried the green with him. I think I read they really like brown? I'm going to put some in tonight.
    Hope he takes it!

He totally ignored the brine with spirulina, which I was hoping he would eat some for the spirulina. Maybe in time!

Thanks!! That flame used to be female...she lost her mate  and turned male. I'm really impressed with how bright his coloring is for being the only wrasse in the tank!

Adding garlic (apatite enhancer) and selcon (same but with nutrition) will increase chances of the new tang eating. They often are a little shy at first. I've started crumbling the dried nori into the mysis or whatever im feeding and soaking it with selcon. It goes FAST. Even my dotty and clown with 'fight' for it.

My LFS had a Midnight Madness sale - all livestock 30% off!! There was a loooong line, we had to stand outside for about an hour in the freezing rain! Once inside it was packed and almost all picked over but I did pick up some goodies!

Two coral, two fish and an emerald crab.

    Blue/green tip acro - saved 30 bucks!
Red Goniopora - saved 50 bucks!!!
    Randall's Goby - saved 15 bucks
Flame Angel - saved 30 bucks

The whole reason I got into saltwater was to get a flame angel, and I've never had one. Weird, huh? So I decided to go for it! He is small and adorable and living large in my 90 gallon. I hope he plays nice!!

    Pictures to come soon!

Oh, and the best part of the sale was that Sunday is my birthday, and my fiance paid for everything!! ;D
