Wow... I hope I did not bite off more than I can chew! I know its doable.... just confused.

I purchased a predrilled 90 gallon tank and stand from my LFS to support small business. I also have ordered an Eshopps R-100 fuge from PetSolutions. I see alot of great information on making the connections but am not finding answers to some of the ruidmentary questions I have. The predrilled holes (2) are located next to each other and have a black cover siliconed in front of them. Bad thing is that the plumbing is not attached to the holes. 1 is 2" and one is 1 3/4".

Is the larger one for the return?

Seeing as how the plumbing is not there, what height would I look to place each one?

How should I seal the holes so that I do not get leaks from inside of the tank?

Then how should I plumb the lines below the tank so that they dont leak?

I am considering doing an inline heater. Would I have enough space to do that?

    Lost lost lost.....

Any help would be considered an early Christmas present! I am planning on setting the tank up as a FOWLR in the beginning and possibly upgrading to a reef tank in the future. Any help would be incredibly appreciated. I am picking up cured base rock (100 lbs) of rock this weekend.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give!

So... with the bulkheads that I will need for a 1 3/4" and a 1 1/2" , what will I need to look for on the pieces to make sure they are good for saltwater?

Do I need to silcone the bulkhead but not the threads? It would we great if I could change piping if needed.

Is it OK to use regular PVC glue?

Put some pics up here so we can see exactly what you have.

The larger hole will be for the gravity fed overflow and the smaller for the return.

Bulkheads fitting don't need sealant , just make sure there's no dust or dirt under the gasket. And like a new oil filter wet the gasket before tightening it down.

I use Oatley PVC glue in the brownish can and DO NOT USE THE PURPLE PRIMER. Let it cure very well before use.

    These should help.

What size is that sump? The bigger the better, if you can fit it a 40 gallon breeder DIY converted to a refugium/sump would allow you to take your 90 to a very nice reef one day.

    I appreciate the advice Whiskey!

Certainly seems alot less daunting. I will get a couple of pictures up here tonight.

Pretty straight forward set up. Should be exciting with the bulkhead already set up and no plumbing in place.

The eShopps refugium coming on Friday is a 20 gallon fuge.

I have that same 20 gallon eshopps Berlin sump. Next time I'll make one myself. If the 40 breeder is to big, I think AllGlass makes a 33 long which is 36x16x12 that would work nice too.
