Oh, I forgot about the P.Hs
Let me aim them down towards them...

I'm running carbon, yes, and my Reef Octo Skimmer

I aimed the PH at it, lightly, and all this junk blew off.
But it almost seemed like it was blowing it apart...

My layman's opinion is, "Doesn't seem good"

That looks A LOT worse than the first picture lol, I agree with you, doesn't look good. Are there any parts that look salvageable? I'd frag them if so.

That's what it looked like once I put flow into it.

Not sure why it happened, they should've been fine IMO

My water testing didn't go so great...

    Ammonia - .25
    Nitrite - .5
    Nitrate - 20
    Phosphates - .5

I'm not exactly sure how the store tested the phosphates, whether it was the crappy liquid test that I do, or if they used the more legit test.

    But, I guess I'm re-cycling.

I also already have that nice gross tan/brown diatom-dusting on my brand new sand.

that is very weird - I would have guessed that you wouldn't have much of a cycle at all. But then it doesn't make sense that some corals are ok??

I think the first test was actually wrong...
I took another sample in today, since all my test kits are expired, and it came out
    0 Ammonia
    0 Nitrite
    20 Nitrate

Just to be safe I put some SmartStart Cycle in...
I did however grab a fish. An Orange Fantail Filefish, that I've never seen before. I figured I'd grab it before someone else did.
I feel like I'd be waiting forever for the Mimic File to show up.

He's pretty cool, doing well so far.
    Has the 90 to himself.
