    One of my favorite fish! Your LFS gets some nice ones in haha I can understand not wanting to wait, but if you added the SmartStart Cycle stuff, you probably should've waited until after you see normal tank levels, Filefish are VERY finicky.

    Well the numbers today were all normal, an then the StartSmart was a "Just in case" measure.
    The File was eating music at the store, so hopefully he's good to go.

    It really looks amazing, especially the all blue theme gives the tank a unique aura.

    I know the diatoms in the sand and stuff is normal, but it's just so annoying. All I want is white sand...
    Looks like someone shook cinnamon on random parts of the sand.

    Hopefully the No-Pox stuff, the skimmer, and the carbon eventually bring down all the levels and it vanishes.

    Are you sure its diatoms and not cyano? try increasing flow to those areas, do some more water changes, and siphon out as much as you can.

    I'll grab a photo. I've dealt with Cyano before, I don't think it's that.
    It's not red at all.

    I just changed out a Aquablue Special for an ATI Purple.
    It was too white.

    So I have
