Vinny, did you ever figure out for sure what the problem was? I know you said you had a calcium level of 250.

On another note, I love my little mushroom garden. There are so many zoas I want to get as well lol. What softies are stocking up on?

I am with you Stick!! I have been quite busy lately and it seems the more I neglected my frag tank the faster the softies grew.;D The same can't be said for the DT unfortunately. What I really needed was a Calcium reactor as manual dosing only works when you are home to do it.lol I am pretty sure the main problem was a bad batch of Red Sea Coral Pro.(Calcium tested 250 in the WC container) I have since switched back to Coralife and now test the first batch of every new salt I purchase.I will be doing alot of Zoa's and mushrooms as well.;)

I got rid of a bunch but still have enough to fill your tank with it.lol
I will be having a Sympodium giveaway soon so stay tuned.LOL

Sorry to hear about your mandarin. That's a good idea about testing the first batch on the salt. I used to do that but got lazy along the way. I need to go back to that before something similar happens to me.

Did you put your bp reactor back on line? I'm sure you said on your bp thread but I haven't checked it in a while.

No I haven't and to tell you the truth I am pretty sure the BP'S had nothing to do with the issues I was having. I may restart the reactor at a later time but for now I am sticking with GFO carbon and WC's. Thanks for stopping by. I couldn't figure out what happened to the Mandarin as he just dissappeared one day. I solved the mystery when I found his shriveled corpse between the sump and stand. I am seriously considering a screen top for my tank as this is the second fish I have lost this way in the past 6 months.(The other was a Blue Damsel)

Thanks Jerry. And thanks again for your help with the fixture.

So sorry to hear about the Mandarin, Bro. Honestly, I had them marked as the one fish that would never jump. :-/

Work and life in general is the reason I went with a 29h w/softies only with my new tank. As exotic as a large tank full of stony corals sounds (and looks :)), it can easily become more of a chore than a hobby.

Good luck, Bro. Waiting to see the new pics.

Thanks Mr. B. I too thought it highly unlikely but did notice at night a few times while I was feeding my corals that he would sometimes be cruising right below the surface and I scared him one time and he actually jumped up out of the water.(not very high) I should have had a clue then that it was possible.

Sorry to hear that John. I will be happy to ship you some anytime. Let me know.;)
