How often does it happen that a reefer downsizes? Well, I'm doing it. I lost everything in my 90 6 months ago due to a sick fish. Everything went downhill FAST. Then I got a slightly used Lifereef LF2-150 filter for Christmas and new lights. Well it has all been sitting downstairs since then. I moved the 75 upstairs across from the 90 and decided to turn the 75 to the reef tank. Not sure what the 90 will become. Thinking LRWFO. The LF2-150 is hooked up to the 75 and will be getting the VS2-24 protein skimmer with 3MDQX-SC pump for it Very soon. After I get it all flowing again I'll post picks. I love the two tanks across from each other.

Neither tank was RR so I have overflow boxes. Thought I'd try the Lifegard Customflo Water System. Love it. I used it all for the return. Now going to get another for the 90.

Sometimes less is better. You could always drill the 90g and get it reef ready and start over. luna

I would love to but not sure if it is tempered glass. I'll be playing it safe and going with the overflow box. Plus with the Lifeguard system, one return (2 spray bars joined) is along the back bottom and the other down the back corner, the flow is nice. This is what I did on the 75.

    90 to 75 new pics

So I finally got everything switched over. Ended up not using the lifeguard system after all. I just got around to getting pics of the tank and had to use my daughters camera. I'll post pics of the sump in the basement later this week. Everything is doing great. The toadstool has even gotten wider (I think).
