Well today is the start of the build and we have the camera in hand. I will be posting pictures up later as we go. I only have 80 gallons of water ready so we are going to start with putting the equipment together then water then rock and sand. I am using lock that is all cycled so I want the system close to full before placing the rock in. The rock is some from my 220 and I have 80 lbs in the basement so its a drop in and go. I also had to vinagar bath some of the equipment. This makes for a good sunday project.

Here it is the beginning of the setup the kid and his dont take my picture glory. I made him attach all hoses of course I oversaw its all done right but he hooked up the sump skimmer and even placed the first of the 6 powerheads we have in the tank just to keep it rolling. We need one part for the skimmer but we are moving forward rapidly. We placed some of the sand in and will be doing most of the rock tomorrow as we ar going to want the tank functioning with skimmer before adding this. It is coming together. Boy at 9 I wish my dad did this with me. He wants to learn as we go all of it and has been a great helper with my tank so I think this should go good. Dont tell my wife but this is also a good excuse to have another tank in the house......

He said he wanted to sell his tank to do saltwater. He sold his for 400 and this was 300 with a ton of extras. He wants a loin fish a puffer and an eel. I donated 100 lbs of rock to him. He has 100 for fish at this point. I can get the lion for about 20 for a large one and we have a green line moray and a good sized porkipine in qt so he can take them. I think he is very lucky for this age. He totally understands lions and saw what I went through when I got stung so he is very responible for this age. I cant wait to do it.
