Hello all. I am new to this forum but not to saltwater aquariums. I just setup a 92gallon corner tank. I upgraded from my 55gallon fowlr tank. I currently have a refugium and a aquac remora skimmer. I have a 48inch 4x54 T5 lighting.

I have about 60lbs of LR and 80lbs of LS. In the tank i have a 4 inch yellow tang, a 7 inch hippo tang a 6 inch lunar wrasse a 4 inch vol lion and a small SFE.

I added a colony of zoanthids and have some mushrooms and kenya trees from my 55gallon in the tank. The coral is doing really good so far and nothing is messing with them.

Are those lights good enough or should I upgrade to 6x54 or MH or LEDs for the tank. it is 24" deep. I also have a 36 inch CF 50/50 light that i can fit on the top as well.. The top is open. SO far the SFE hasnt tried to get out. Im going to put netting over the top though.

What other fish could I add? Can I get an angel? Or will they pick at the coral. I know its tough but my goal is to have a semi aggressive tank with some coral.

I will post pics soon. Any advice or criticism is welcome.

    Thanks,

    Charlie

    Welcome to 3reef!

I hate to break it to you, but the Blue Tang and Volitan Lionfish will need bigger tanks eventually. The Yellow tang and Lunar Wrasse should be fine, though.

What type of corals are you planning on adding to the tank? That would help figure out what type of lighting you would need.

    What's an SFE?

Thanks. Ill keep an eye on the lion and hippo and when they get too big ill trade them to my lfs for something else. The sfe is snow flake eel. Was just thinking of keeping soft corals and maybe some LPS.

    Sounds like a good idea.

You could always look into Dwarf Lionfish and these guys: Puffers, which would work a lot better in a tank that size ;)

I had a porc puffer in my 55 gallon but traded it in because I wanted a lion and some coral and everything I read says puffers and lions and puffers and coral don't mix. I would love to get a nice dogface or mappa puffer.

Is the Remora Skimmer enough for my tank? Do to the weird shape and the lack of space under the tank I have a smaller fuge than i would prefer. So I cant get a large in sump skimmer.

If the remora isnt enough what other options do I have? Bigger HOB? External SKimmer?

    Thanks

I would also get rid of the wrasse, they can get very large and aggressive and are very active. I wouldn't put one in a tank less than 6 feet long... :(
Looks good, scorpionfish are very cool to. One of my favorites is the leaf fish.
