So my 120g has spirorbid worms, cute when you look up close. Harmless filter feeder so Im told. But They need to stop reproducing, Most of my rock work is covered in the the back glass panel, even some snail shells are covered with them :S... I Fear they are taking over the tank.

If I dont use the Mag Float to get them off the front panels, for a few days, they get nearly impossible to get off in a timely matter. :S I fear I have a worm invasion :S.

How old is the tank that they're in? I find that most filter feeders in a newish tank will die off once the food supply/nutrient levels drop off. If you're feeding a lot of plankton, however, they will no doubt continue to spawn :D

The Tank is about 9 months old. I feed some of my corals Kent ZooPlex. (Zooplankton) So I wonder if thats helping them become an army.

Probably :) What corals are you feeding? I ask because it's possible that you don't need to feed zooplankton at all so if you want the worms to go away, you could stop.

Yeah, you do have a lot of these, based on your avatar.

Unless you have a lot of sps in your tank, I would not feed that plankton. Even if you did have a ton of SPS, they will be fine without the plankton

i agree with amcarrig, once your nutrient levels go down they will level off, also they are bad in pvc pipes to, over time they can restrict the flow of water

Ohh, that's what those white swirls are. I have a bunch of em on the back and side glass. They don't seem to be out of control as of now. I also feed ZooPlex. I guess I'll also cut down on it.
    Thanks

lol I think I only feed once every few weeks, I was feeding my suncoral it till I switched to mysis or brine. Only thing I occasionally give the tank is some marine invert food, basically for the calm here and there to make sure it stays happy.
